There is no worse feeling than being homesick.

Poem Artwork

Love is Where the Heart Is!

Have you ever been so homesick that you couldn’t stand it anymore?
You want to cry from the depth of pain and run right for the door.
You miss your loved ones terribly, who are so far away from you.
You feel alone and abandoned, these feelings are so new.

You must always remember, they are with you all the time.
They are in your heart, your prayers and your mind.
Love is where the heart is, but your love can be worldwide.
You can be across the universe and have them by your side.

I can't figure the author homesick, because her heart is everywhere, with her family, with her friends, with the needy, with the running dreams, so...how can she be homesick when she is at home anywhere she find herself to be?

This one is right on for me. I miss my sisters and brother and their families sooo much. After a few years of not seeing them, there is a family reunion being planned for June, and I can't wait. Nice sentiments in this poem.

Love ya! Connie

...to know...and find it in your poetic thoughts...is but to click ones heels three times...and know there is no other place.
