Something’s Missing, I Know Not What!
 
Something is missing but I know not what.
I feel the loss deeply, right inside my gut.
What’s gone, I’m not sure, but I question each day?
What am I missing; I’m so lost and so frayed?
 
Where deep down inside me,  I used to find peace.
Now there is turmoil, no way of release.
What’s happened to me, nothing’s the same?
 I can find no one at fault, no one to blame.
 
Something inside me that used to be there.
Has disappeared and left my heart bare.
I would give anything, no matter the cost.
If I could only find inside me, what I have lost.
 
I feel abandoned, a forlorn lonely waif,
I no longer feel secure, no longer feel safe.
Why is this happening, whose torturing me?
I want to go back, to the way I used to be.
 
Some place I felt safe and not so alone.
Somewhere secure that I can call home.
Then I had a dream where God came to me.
HE said,
”I never abandoned you, you abandoned thee.”
 
“I always was there in your deepest pain.”
“But you never called once, on my Holy Name.”
“You tried to get through without my helping hand.”
“I tried to pick you up when you could not stand.”
 
“But you pushed me away and rebuked my assist.”
“That my child, is what you have missed.”

Bonnie,
O Bonnie, this brought tears to my eyes. Here lately I've found alone and lost. No , God don't abandon us, we abandon Him. Thank you Bonnie, for this timely write.

We all believe to the creator, no matter which name we know Him, We fall to Him at times of need. Great poem

One of my favorite quotes says something to the effect that if God doesn't seem as close as he used to be, guess who moved? Nothing is better than having that peace which surpasses all understanding...
