Little Voice Inside
Don’t play with matches for your fingers will get burned.
How many times do we need to hear that before we’ve learned?
Fire can also represent troubles that we seem to get ourselves into.
And struggling to avoid them sometimes gets very difficult to do.
That’s when I strive real hard to listen to the little voice inside.
For it has many of the answers and it never wounds my pride.
It senses when danger is coming; it senses the right thing to do.
It’s got me out of many scrapes and always helps me get through.
So if you can’t decide when something is either right or wrong.
Listen to that voice, it’s always there waiting your whole life long.
