It is Never Cold

Mrs. Butters gave her whole life in helping others in dismay.

She worked extremely hard in soup kitchens every holiday.

She always read to the children in the library in her town.

And Mrs. Butters took care of the elderly when they were down.

 Now this Christmas Mrs. Butters sits all alone by her fire.

Her health & sight are gone now and her finances are dire.

But as she sits, she reflects on the wonderful life she had.

She doesn’t feel sorry for herself at all, not even a small tad.

For all the people she has helped throughout her many years.

Only bring great comfort to her and a few of them bring tears.

She always keeps them in her heart and remembers them in prayer.

They touched her life in every way as much as she touched there’s.

Many times throughout the years, they stop by and chat.

Giving her so much pleasure and truly giving so much back.

Some of them became successful from the help she gave to them.

And they never forgot the love she showed, over and over again.

So even though she’s alone, many carry Mrs. Butters in their heart.

They pop in and out bringing presents, thanking her for their new start.

No, don’t feel sorry for Mrs. Butters, she has more love than a heart can hold.

And even though her home is now old and empty, it has never been cold.

Old Mrs. Butter’s wants for nothing, all her needs are met.

When you give a little or a lot, ten-fold back is what you get.
