I wake up in the middle of the night.
It’s dark, except for a soft glow of light
From the kids room.
Even sleeping they chase away the gloom.
Everyday kids, they’re precious, they’re fresh.
Everyday they’re what I love best.
I love my everyday kids.
I’m sorry I yelled at them yesterday.
I thought they were getting in my way,
So I told them to go out and play.
Now I wait for the break of day… to see
Everyday kids, they’re precious, they’re fresh.
Everyday, they’re what I love best.
I love my everyday kids.
If they spill red Kool-aid on the just washed floor
I’ll hug ‘em hard, and offer them more.
It doesn’t matter if we’re rich or poor.
I hope they know they’re loved to the core.
Everyday kids, they’re precious, they’re fresh.
Everyday, they’re what I love best.
I love my everyday kids.
They make me laugh and they make me cry.
They make my every day fly by.
The make me glad I became a wife.
They give new meaning to everyday life.
I wake up in the middle of the night.
It’s dark, except for the soft glow of light
From the kid’s room…
Be safe,
Karen
