Out Patient 7:03 am ahead of schedule I sit - in silence. 7:30 finally, lights on in the waiting room eyes-slits closed trying to shut-out-light like a full closet ajar, a sleepless night of pins and needles war between claustrophobia and MRI. receptionist shuffles papers lining up paper patients in white uniforms people pass, guessing me through sips of coffee

i too know this scene too well, mri...? are you okay? i'm claustrophobic so the thought of an mri sends me into panic and i felt that way reading your words. excellent depiction

I know this well Tracey unfortunately.
Don't care for the hosptials but hey
an out patient is better than never
know when patient. lol Great write.
