I stood on the platform of dreams
with my one-way ticket
to reach the destination of my heart.
With my head in the clouds
I boarded the train knowing
my dreams would come true .
The ticket master took my ticket
looked at me with disbelief
and shook his head.
Ma’am, I’m sorry to say
you have boarded the wrong train,
this train is heading for the town of reality.
I could only laugh
by the ironic absurdity,
fate had derailed me once more.
The ticket master then hand me
a glass of water and asked,
“ma’am, is the glass half empty or half full?
I look at the glass for a moment
and with little thought
poured it contents on the floor,
I handed it back to him and said,
“ neither, it appears to be empty!”
Arriving into the town of reality
standing on it’s platform,
I realized things are as they should be.
I then proceeded to walk the wrong way
down a one way street.

All Aboard The reality express
Leave your logic at the door
you can pick it up after you depart
This is a brilliant display within this creative write to show the absolute absurdity of life and how it hands us fate and destiny dependent on the routes we choose. However, you still go against the flow and will realize those dreams come true despite the odds against you.
