(My son with ADD, his mind cant always find the words he seeks. I am blessed by this child.)

I totally understand. I also have two boys witht the problem. Both fail in school with out meds and are honors students with them. We can't as parents allow ourselves to punish or send our kids away because we don't like the condition they are born with. Nor can we afford to ignore the problem. This is a great write.

Ted, he gets it honest, I have it too as well as my other son. I don’t believe in given kids drugs, but I had to try something for their sake. Both of my son's take medication and you would not believe the change in both of them and their learning abilities. They are both happier children with less stress. They both have learn the medication is not "a smart pill" but aid to help them absorb their thought to organized files in their minds. I was never on medication and struggle today. I didn’t want my children to suffer the torment that I live.

Take him out and play ball with him, run him and tire him out for at least three weeks, send him to a boot camp, and you know what ADD escapes back into the obscure list of make believe causes for giving our children more drugs than they need. I worked on a farm, I fought in a war, I am still to this day describe in this very way as your son, BUT I LIKE IT AND I HAVE LEARNED TO GET STUFF DONE TEN TIMES FASTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE DREAMS OF DOING!
