She Sighs

His atrophic covet thrives on the feast of pleading innocent cries. Teacup eyes quiver with anguish, it is no surprise to her battered smile. Nightmares finger-paint abstract impalements; as her mother hides. Tomorrow's grave entombed chilled cries to whispered silent sighs. Copyright 2003 Tracey L. Hardie
