Upon A Golden Wish

Poem Artwork

I walked blithely upon a path

that guided to a forestry heaven.

Visions entranced my stance

to silent thoughts that pierced

beneath layers of my armor.

The bareness of my soul revealed

to her eyes my true image,

a mere man, who’s lust seared

for this maiden who saw

with pooling eyes of blue filled skies.

Weaken, I sat upon a golden wish

of a lovers first intimate kiss.

Draped in ivory she stood

with natures halo, a thorn less crown.

Light filtered radiantly,

to draped upon my frame an eternal

enchantment of a lovers shame.

My heart pounded silent prayers

to the Gods for this angel of life.

Enslaved by awe, I could not

hear the wind rustle the leaves

that sang whispers only she could hear.

With my eyes I searched into her soul,

and in that moment, my heart she stole.

I definitely love the way you can translate what you see from one set of eyes to another...although none of that surprises me...it is just good to reflect back upon.

When we open ourselves we become so fragile
and leave opportuniy for others to sneak in and stomp.
