There is no sweeter music than the music of the night.

Poem Artwork

Music of the night-

Played on the softness

Of your warm moist skin.

Steady breathing keeping time

With the rhythm of the heart.

My fingers are finding-

Each new note to be found,

As I play this one for you.

Your sighs are the words

To the music that I play.

Slow and easy – baby,

Feeling each vibration

Down deep in your soul.

As you start to slow dance

To the gentle flow of my love.

My instrument is tuned

To the feverish pitch-

Of your every desire.

Faster and faster – baby

Until I take you there.

You are lost in my music-

Surrounded by the sound

Of every chord that I strum.

As I gently rock you-

To the music of the night.

I thought immediately of the Phantom of the Opera. A play and movie that I have not seen, but the theme song is everywhere and beautiful to listen to.

From what I read I don't see any instruments or any singing. What I see is an allegory comparing lovemaking to a sweet song being danced to. Anyone who can pull off lovemaking that lyrical and sweet, is guaranteed to woo most ladies who come anywhere near the hypnotizing beat.

I believe this could be called erotic soul poetry, intense, deep, rich.
