As a student of Psychology, I have often pondered

The meaning of love and the over and under usage

Of a word that can mean anything between

Your feelings on eating ice cream

To having sex or maybe a mixture of both

At the same time with the word love substituting for both.

First, we must ask if love is an emotion or feeling;

And the poll says………………….it’s emotion,

Ok then, unless you want to marry a bowl of ice cream

We can throw that out and discard it even if used during sex,

Which brings up sex, which I would say, falls into the feeling category,

Because when the feeling is gone so are most of the men and women.

So, logic would dictate that love as an emotion

Would have to have deep roots right along side

The other emotions such as anger, envy and so forth,

Alas, love would be the catalyst that sparks the sex

And then keeps the man or woman hanging around

After the sex to enjoy a bowl of ice cream together.
