Poem Artwork

At Christmas time our time is spent,

making sure all the cards are sent ,

buying gifts for everyone,

the old ones and the very young .

Decorating, entertaining -

thoughts of peace are slowly gaining .

Finally when everything's done,

Christmas has only just begun .

It came so fast and then it went ,

with little thought of what it meant .

God loves everyone of us so very very much .

How true you are! The very point of Christmas was to schedule a day to remember, yet, we are too busy to even do that. Thank you for sharing your poem and encouraging us to remember what the day represents.

It came so fast and then it went,
with little thought of what it meant.

How sadly true, so often. Thanks for the Powerful Reminder and Wishing you and yours a Most Joyous and Blessed Holiday Season, Paul.

Oh sooooo sorry Paul!...I've called you Eileen. It must be because I was reading Eileen's poem first and then I read yours. Please forgive the mixed up.

My comments stays the same about this poem. Thank you for sharing such a fine peaceful piece!

What a delightful piece this is, Eileen! I always love Christmas, the child in me screams, "Presents!" - even though I didn't really expect it from my hubby and everyone. Heeeheee!

Yesterday I went shopping for everyone in the mall, and today I felt like I had done a day of hard labour. My should still hurts from where my purse hanged; and the back of my neck is still hurting and so is my back.

Your poem has just throw all my pains away. Great imagery and wonderful read.
