The promise of a beautiful Spring day amidst the flowers of my English Morning Garden...

Poem Artwork

 English Morning Garden...

My early morning English garden,

Lilac sweet and Cherry Blossom beautiful.

Butterflies flimsily flitting hither and thither

amidst dappled sunbeams dancing around

straight-backed Tulips

delicately softened by Pink open faces and heady scent..

Bluebells dancing in the softest whisper of a breeze

nodding their pretty little heads in unison..

A beguiling sight of  Nature's tender, delicate structures.

Timeless sense of expectancy hovers above this Day of Days.

Dew-shimmering leaves on nearby Tree

freshly clothed in Sprintime's exquisite greenery,

showcasing Nature at her best...

Balm for the Soul,

Motivation for the Spirit..

A new born day.-  and mine for the taking....

This is delicate and beautiful...so soothing! Alas, now it is August, and the flowers will soon bid farewell. You will find beauty in ice crystals and frost, I am sure.

...and so it was until the darn frost.
Indeed such a garden is balm for the soul and a living thing in your heart.

Diana,
I can see the beauty of your "English Morning Garden."
The fragrance from each flower sends a sweet message to my brain.
I can feel the softness of each petal that has opened its face for all to see.
It seems I can faintly hear the butterfly flimsily flitting hither and thither.
But most of all, I cherish the sweet aroma of the lilac. I've loved them since childhood.
Finally, your poem is so you from beginning to end, making it special indeed.

This is a delight to read, a joy to contemplate, many reasons to behold the beauty of Nature, and the skill of a seasoned poet who definitely knows how to pull it all together.

You took me there in the morning when all things are fresh and moist with dew. Makes me brand-new.

I know the Brits are famous for their gardens and you seem to be keeping up the tradition. Judging from the picture, your garden seems glorious indeed. Even without the picture, I would know about your garden from your poem which immerses the reader into all its scents and charms. Enjoyed. John

A sensuous day of natural beauty and so nicely laid on the brow. An ocean that we should all frequent at least once in a while. Of course, a captain of this ship would be more lovely, as she extracts the secrets of the sea of foliage, we then would consume a peace with her.
