Looking to the joys warm Summer Days..

Poem Artwork

I Love the smell of Summer...

I love the smells of Summer

scented flowers buzzing Bees,

I love the smell of Woodsmoke

drifting in on dreamy breeze.

I love the smell of Blossoms

and a kiss beneath our tree,

I love my little Grandaughter

sitting on my knee,

I love the way the Seagull glides

with grace so high above,.

I love the way our lives work well

when all we give is LOVE...

I love all those smells and aromas too, and Summer is my favorite season when everything burst into bloom, birds are singing again and have nests with broods of chicks.

Another favorite smell of mine is newly mown grass with a light fall of soft rain on it.

And I love the smell of newly laid tar, takes me back to my early childhood.

And yes,Love is the Master Key.

What a super tribute to Summer!

I started to write one but couldn't finish it:
I love the smell of Summer
and those panties on the beach
the nudists know what they can do without
and I'm happy as a peach (?)

Diana, your poem just "Flows" so naturally...I could smell the blossoms and felt the breeze. Just beautiful! Thank you!

In appreciation for your work,

So very true, and for me it is also the smell of fresh cut wood as I do building projects around house and the smell of earth being turned over for planting. Fee

Lovely poem, Diana.

Living in southern California we miss much of the look and scents of spring and summer. At this time of year, though, before our mountains turn brown again... After our rainy season our mountains, against a deep blue sky are beautiful and even now, off in the distance our tall mountains still show a cap of snow...

Be well!
Mark
