from your tongue...

Poem Artwork

Meticulous

Love is a noble endeavor without definition,
an elastic word that drools from your tongue.
A guttural cry forced out in the wilderness,
kicking the womb's wall that returns no sound.
Love's sorrow is the unseen face of greatness
In circumspection, birth is immanent and perpetual.
You may cry from joy, laugh with illiteracy and
both may serve some meticulous purpose, but
some, when Israel is reborn, die. And they smile
for death and the divine days of struggle.

Very thought provoking write...the line that grabbed my attention was,
an elastic word, that drools from your tongue.
I often think that this word is used loosly...without much thought given, but emotion driven or purpose driven shall I say.
Enjoyed this very much,
Blessings,
Joyce Bowling

Through the Amazon by S. Oliver Eldridge

The drug called "The Shari" has been used for vision quests over many years. But, when all the rivers start drying up, the tribe must send a young hunter named Tomás on a much more important trip through the Amazon.
