Life has many twists and turns... where do they lead?

WHY?

by:  Linda Law

Have you ever stopped in the middle of the day
Simply to wonder "where am I...where am I going?"
Once upon a time life was a constant struggle
Everything in my mind seemed to appear like a puzzle

I'm not a real gypsy...but I run from place to place
Always looking, searching, wondering... Why?
Never reached the pinnacle of success, wealth or fame
Yet... to others I came close...never close enough

What is a failure anyway? Have I failed you?
When I look at those around me; people that I love
That is when I know that I did fail...I failed them..
I wonder alot, wonder how I could have done better

Sometimes I believe that everyone I touch with love
Ends up being hurt...damaged...almost like a curse
Perhaps that is why I run so much?  Run from me..
I see the eyes of those I love...and see the heavy pain

Tears are everywhere, they fall like heavy rain
We never know how things will work out....do we?
We dream, we hope....we plan, we try so very hard
Sometimes, when we run...we are looking for own way

To dream that things were different, happy and good
That those we love will understand...or maybe not?
Why?  Why must I keep looking back,
or track a map to where I'll run... Why?

Good Evening, Linda. I think you are running away from real love. You may have or naybe it is someone else who was hurt. I think you have a beautiful family and people do love you. Count your blessings. GOD is on your side.

GOD BLESS YOU

What an honest and touching poem. I can so relate and I guess these wonderings are just part of our human condition. Well penned Linda

You touch so many lives for good... Pain is a part of the world and a part of living, so little of it is your "fault," Linda. Think of the joy that life can contain and think on how much joy you have given others...realize just how much of that can be blamed upon you! :~)
We love you, Linda...and we don't question why you came into our lives, or the joy we have received through you.

Linda,,,

Well I want you to know that you have touch me and I have no pain..
Why,, I have had only blessing since you reach out your hand toward my Life and invited me into your world...So you have not fail everyone and I am sure that others feel the same as I... So quit your running and know that you are an angel in others eyes.... Don't look back because the memories of the past will temp your soul,,, the future is what counts.... I think you have found the future in your writing of poems and stories and have blessed many of us with the beauty within your mind....

Luv and stuff..... Donnie

I think we all do our share of running but sooner or later we all make our own stands as well...it is nature of life.

Another great write Linda. We are all a success once we put our best into what ever we do. Stop running hold on to what you have, love , peace and your memories.

I rather like your question-laden poem. Great job; I'm no poet, but I imagine this is tough to pull off.
