An erotic poem for the New Year. . . edited 9/24/12

We slept on powdery blue sheets That had been 'tossed and turned' Throughout the night. . . Celebrating the New Year Neither one of us Believed in resolutions Only in truths And our 'vows' to one another Her words 'always' affected me Sometimes it was how she spoke... Her 'own' meaning behind the words I always gave her my full attention We made love again... Teasing each other with our lips Kissing fully and deeply Treasuring all that we had to offer Riding 'together' we met The 'wave' that brought us 'home' As our eyes focused on each other We 'loved' . . . Our hands tenderly had let go of the past Grasping the future steadfastly "You are all I wanted and the only one I see" Take me home again. .. ...
