Do not mean to sound morbid. This is the way it came out.

Poem Artwork

Shards of glass
Cutting-
Into our lives
Daily, weekly

Shards of glass
Piercing-
Through our hearts
When a love dies

Shards of glass
Killing-
Softly, our spirits
That once soared...

Sadly, I can relate. I cannot seem to get my "joy" back. Thank you, Deborah. Love and best wishes,

“The first cut is the deepest.” The rest is history. You have cut close to how people feel when abandoned.

The images you reflect as well know by those who have lost love, and the gut-wrenching aftermath.

Reflections of the broken hearted are always so sad. I like the way you wrote the fragile feelings of the abused. Nice work!

The way it came out is the way it feels, isn't it? These three concise movements read as a triage, a triplet, and three-step progression of loss. Keenly effective. ~~ Diana
