Hate or craziness
Has come upon our
Shores-
Killing too many
Even one is much
Too many-
It is not the Guns
Nor Religion,
But,
Evil lurking,
Winning?
Where is the Love? ? ?
We have to realize that the ease of travel, acquisition of firearms, gaming and social tolerance of aberrant behavior allows such atrocities to happen. The Internet allows fantasies to run wild and find allies like never before. If one has an ax to grind, why not grind it in high fashion through the overkill of the media.
President Obama was right when he said we could, "absorb terrorism greater than 9/11." I recall when the country reacted to the threat of nuclear war, building bomb shelters and having drills in schools. And there was a time when flying in the southeastern United States meant you might be hijacked to Cuba.
If we concentrate on revealing those who hate, stop selling implements of war as toys for men playing grown-up kids, and most of all, stop overplaying and glorifying in the process lone wolf "suicide by slaying," by media and public frenzy, it will go away.
It seems that evil does triumph often in this world and sadly, throughout history, religions (organized) have been the cause of untold evil. Politics (governments/powers) and the financial system have done their equal share of wrong. Love and peace to you Deborah,
I don't believe these "mass killers" (the count in Orlando is up to 50 dead now) have the capacity for love. Only hate lives within these dregs of society . . .
