We each took our turn
Sitting in a chair
On top of a table
Before class, one day,
A female student
Conversed to me
Stating,
She hung
Her etching of myself,
Above her bed-
All I could say, "OH! That's nice.."
Our portfolio's stayed
In the lockers provided-
At the end of fall semester
I intended to gather my drawings
To my discontent,
My portfolio was gone- OH!
Your work was probably quite good. Some inferior student probably stole it so they could turn in as though they did it in a future class.
I had a project that I made stolen from my locker in a metalworking class. Another student tried to turn it in for credit to another professor in another class. That professor was suspicious and told my professor. Although I had received a good grade on that small vice that I had made from raw metal, there were several defects that I gave to my professor that identified that the vice turned in was mine. A ring of locker thieves was uncovered and I believe, 10 students were expelled from college.
To lose your own creative artwork must've been a great blow. While I didn't value that vice very much, I would be really upset if my artwork was taken.
