Can Imagination...(repost)

Sometimes it’s so apparent how bull-headed our species chooses to be.

Poem Artwork
Can Imagination…
by Odin Roark

Can imagination heal

The red of pain
Wounds of lacerate depth
Neither heart’s gentle massage
Or mind’s understanding
Can cauterize?

Will time

The conciliate arbiter
Render resentment
Fueled by frustration
Into reconciled antitheses
Allowing emotion
That all encompassing dictate
To sleep
Find solace
Adjust
Resign
Harmonize?

Perhaps

The child within
Will resolve the adult malfunction
Take the hand of innocence
Habitually long ignored
Lift its motion to stop
Go
Please
And
Take me

And gently reintroduce

Consciousness
Accepting childishness
The product of growing older
As not the artifact of youth
But the growing up dents in one’s armor
An evolvement
Perhaps never sustained
Of Imagination
Past the coloring book of youth

It happens
You know

To me
You
And the person next to you
Who might become the obstacle
The everyday kind of hurdle in childhood
We forgot how to negotiate

The enemy?

Can imagination… help?

We all know the answer

The ability to create worlds within worlds is truly a human experience. Whether the curtain rises on a backdrop cold and dark or warm and sunny depends on the will and existing expectations. The children born in caves will surely see more in shadows. Sometimes, I think, we could use a formula for realigning the stars. M.True

You ask the questions and for the most part I have no answers except to say if imagination, and the road it leads you to gives you happiness and peace of mind, that is the gift of life and should not be wasted.
