UN and US issue warnings
But…

How prescient his glitter
Whether bare-chested astride his horse
Hugging his golden heroes
Or positing vacuous smiles

Such is Russia’s demigod invading
Sending plain uniformed soldiers
Vehicles without plates
Faces wrapped in bandannas

Like Poland’s ’39 invasion
The goal is obvious
Unstopped
Cold war is leapfrogged
Hot war is…

21 Century
The other prescient reality
Knows well how short a war could be

breaking news indeed, kudos for posting timely. Did you ever play the board game RISK? fun stuff. Putin is playing the ultimate board game and why not? We can rescue, Captain Phillips; but, we apparently are incapable of a flyby at an embassy. You bet we look moronic. I'm gonna check and see if one of my funds owns Gazprom.......Did you read Tom Clancy's latest book? He must have done is research well. Heck I wouldn't want to tangle with a country flush with Olmypic money either. Way out of my league.......awesome poem
