Pen Hovering Close
by Odin Roark
When the pen hovered close,
Memories begged to be grounded,
Aspirations lunged for the brass ring,
And the now waited.
When the pen hovered close,
Tears merged in denial,
Elations froze as bygone anomalies,
And you, and you, and you
Gathered as patient linchpins remembered.
When the pen hovered close,
I emerged from hiding,
Spread my arms to the unknown
And implored courage take my hand.
When the pen hovered close,
The distance from weeping to joy grew short
The dark ink of release etched its smiles
And all of you were there…
Even you.
The distance from weeping to joy grew short...
Everything hinges on the strokes of a pen or the tap of the lettered keys when you assume the role of writer. Visions and memories are constantly colliding!
And the now waited... (for me,)very patiently. M.True
You must hold some deep, dark secrets to withhold your pan like that.

Good stuff, Odinsan.
