Ink's Muse

A dedication to the modern element charting our existence we sometimes take for granted seemed appropriate this morning as I read through some works of ancient poets and philosophers. Their labor on papyrus, processed leather, ceramic and marble prevailed long before the convenience of modern inks came into being. How fluid the progression. (Image by Bazan)

Ink's Muse
The denseness of knowledge and imagination
is matched only by the opacity of tool,
atrophied at the bottom of its glass imprisonment.
This elusive weapon of the quiet
finds awakening at quill-tip's point.
Even as words serve but the surface
of her life's essence,
fluid resonance of language
remains eternally ready for liberation.
Ink's Muse…
Time's liquescent hourglass.
Love ya!
