Perpetual Weightlessness

With so many opinions of love, is it not a universal understanding, conscious or subconscious, that love will most likely remain one of the conundrums of life? Miro, known in the community as a Surrealist because of his love for automatism and the use of sexual symbols in much of his work. (Image by Miro)

Perpetual Weightlessness
How pure this burden of weight
some call isolation.
Others deem only connection to the frustration
inherent in slow erosion of falsehood.
To walk upon paths of nature’s blending,
that sometimes circuitous route asking one
accept disappointment,
embrace the lessons hard fought,
as a leaf that reluctantly floats to its demise,
trusting well the feather that follows.
Many of life’s lessons deliver with regret,
conscious that without mistakes,
there are fewer teachings learned
Oh love…
Hard fought,
genuinely earned,
knowing to rejoice,
is to know it is not for me,
or you,
to possess.
Love is weightless,
an amorphous wonderment
reserved for those
who might admit defeat,
yet know teachings are only valid
for those who commit to the realm
of ethereal understanding.
Perpetual weightlessness…
How beautiful the reality
for those of acceptance.
Love ya!

I looked at that painting by Miro and couldn't detect any sign of sexual innuendo, but maybe some automatism, whatever that is. Salvador Dali is a surrealist that I understand. Wish I had some of his original work.
