The oneness of Nature seems so apparent...sometimes. (Image by Cezanne)

Poem Artwork
Painting Life

Nature's omniscient wisdom
forever stitches corners of life's tapestry.

Just as Monet's emerald spring awaits its calling,
knowing not of slumber’s length,
sun's awakening will forever recharge
anxious ponds of wonderment's struggle.

Fear sometimes destroys…

From the torrent of driving rain released on high
upon canvases preparing below,
one remains aware that even a rose’s thorn-warriors defending petals red
must also embrace summer's tempest unfurled.

For…

Deep beneath a leaf's brush stroke of thanks,
our roots bide time in silent evolution,
knowing storms above are but cosmic tears
nurturing wisdom’s journey to survive.

And…

Like Cézanne's Bend in Forest Road,
our own summer's collage of flowering woods
must fend courageously the maternal warmth
that protects the mind’s cooling nights,
lest we allow idleness to become a frozen darkness.

For…

Even the fittest fall as seedling,
resting long till sun's tireless embrace
burns through another winter's naked cold,
inviting yet more endless seasons to always awaken
nature’s love of mankind,
sharing its rainbow of endless colors…

Such is the sometimes hesitant artist in us all,
merely waiting to be born.

The photographer, the painter, the poet. All try to capture nature's wondrous moving canvas of endless variety and beauty. One thing that man does, that nature doesn't, is, for the life of the output, that is, capture a slice of life in progress.

I sense you sought deeper meaning in the analogy offered, but I didn't quite catch it. ;-)

Each of us is an artist of our personal daily lives; the greater our integrity and awareness, the more original and creative our time will become. Enjoyed your brushstrokes here. Peace... r

Love the line "storms above are but cosmic tears". Wow, that together with the rest of the poem is superb, seeing nature thru the poet's eyes.

Your poem reminds me of a college class I took on Humanities Art. It's amazing how you never forget the artist and the style. Well done!
