Imagine the Veil...

Imagine Picasso's Guernica without a war,
where discordant shadows become melted edges,
where limbs of man and beast
coalesce as ethereal blood of one.

Imagine fear wanting of battle,
a mind-taint without weaponry,
trembling made defenseless by the calm of love,
where hate is rendered awash with sun's light
dissolving once acrid smoke of war’s helplessness.

Imagine the precarious virtues undiscovered,
the core of Man with but grass and soil
to comfort his foundation,
dis-ease and moral thirst satiated by Nature’s purity.

Imagine the veil...removed.
