History’s Duplicitous Chameleons
At once the magician,
The power of anything out of the hat
Beckoning broadcast,
Sanguine power to watch.
For just as fear freezes,
So too thaws the past
Upon deaf ears.
History replays
Ancient truths
No amount of hiding
Can contain.
Believing he is without rival,
Confident of the buttons,
White,
Black,
Pulsating red.
How rose this kind,
This uncontained dark embodiment,
This rule by madness,
Designing mass murder,
Foreshadowing Hollywood versions,
Political rants of hawkish lean,
Even dictators yet to come?
We watch.
We cringe.
But we…
While destinies of Peoples
Being roiled by storms of passion
Reigning upon their innocence
Await twisted cravings
That never cool
Knew not the warmth of sun
Only the ice of all that is dead.
With words like hammer blows,
Verbal gates protecting the hearts of people
Splinter,
Fracture,
Fall.
For lest we forget
Centuries bury,
But also resurrect,
Endlessly revealing for some
Cyclic misfortune’s dismay.
Hopelessness?
Yes.
He died,
But might he be back
Haunting the global mirror,
An insanity ever reflective.
Seeing a reflection
As once Hitler,
Assad,
Kim,
and…
Himself.
Evil.
Another of history’s duplicitous chameleons.
Love ya!

While you left everyone guessing, you seem to be calling for us to trumpet that the real Trump is not a very good solution for the people of this country. And if we can't call out his name in defiance, then we are also sucked into the failure of human progress.
