– Does one’s age really make a difference in how we anticipate the end, or is it really only a matter of taking the time, whether young or old, to consider the many possibilities of your energy’s continuing journey. Here is a piece of prosetry about an aged dreamer and writer of his truths.

A Pyre Ever-Burning
His existence knows quiddity,
for beyond this moment,
so flows a tide of quintessence
upon infinity’s shoreline.
Sweltering in the sun,
crouched on calloused travel,
words hover over his paper's anxious direction,
pen needling the worn language
seen through cataract-opacity.
Linguistic currents,
like layered tongues
savoring word upon word
suddenly lurch across the page,
thirsting for shade,
even as a belligerent sun
forges blistered lips
voicing one's last utterances.
This tenacious pause stretches,
allowing sweat's cooling release
as final decay preys
upon yesterday's spent energy and emotion.
Here…
Ancestral sand and salt
soothes wounds,
embraces quest's end,
as life’s circuitous relay takes final rest
with tide's natural evolution.
Soon…
His pyre launched unceremoniously,
invites time's flaming arrow,
arcing its tribute,
inviting his pen, paper,
heart and mind
to burn as one
into the essence of continuation.
Inextinguishable existence afloat…
Compass free.
Love ya!
