Solipsistic Prison
From nowhere,
water appears,
shades of light,
Nature,
me,
you,
the I of it all,
beyond the you and me.,
Where comes
this energy profound,
over and above the physical,
the mind,
soul,
heart,
such an indefatigable what?
Might we be the essence we shun,
the infinitesimal specks,
habituating this planet,
creation’s infinitesimal grandeur?
Might life-existence be not just the I,
blind beyond the self,
its hubristic protection,
fighting for,
defending from,
remaining oblivious to
inevitable self-destruction?
Where comes appreciation for
the simplest of needs
the ignoring of wants,
the unpredictable epiphanies?
Yes…
There is wisdom in accepting who we are,
rather than who we think we are?
Love ya!
Jane
If all of us were in tune with this planet the way that you and your poem seemed to be. I think we would all live much better.
