Change is the greatest growing up transformation we can dream about. “It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” Charles Darwin (1809-1882) English Naturalist

Poem Artwork
Once Upon a Time

Once upon a time
He made his own coffee,
Clung a lot to the past.

Once upon a time
He scored below average in school,
But that was only grades.

Once upon a time
He couldn’t afford to fill his tank,
But that was just a car.

Once upon a time
Low bank balance always cost him a fee,
But that was only money.

Once upon a time
His woman filled his cup half empty,
But that was about growing up.

Once upon a time
His flesh ruled it all,
But that was ‘cause his mind was asleep.

Once upon a time
He poured his own coffee,
But discovery tends to him now…

“Your cup’s only half full”

“Yeah I know.
Ain’t it beautiful?”

As we grow old, we realize how much there is left to learn.

It is! When we just plain scope out the whole situation whatever it may be and go with facts we can't go wrong and the feeling of "it's O.K." arrives..........better yet when we believe that feeling! 'Enjoyed!!

Love ya!

Half-full-half-empty... perhaps the more important thing is having a cup that's refillable. And the continuing creative curiosity to press into the unknown that unfolds continually all around us. A poem with subtext I'm thinking. You're real good at those. Enjoyed. Peace... r
