Nature never promised us a rose garden. We invented that. And what have we given in exchange? Where to start?

Innocence Weeping
So simple creation's reflective miniscule,
gathering force at will,
sprinkling nourishment,
sharing its cleansing,
needing only growth as reward.
Such is the mission of Nature's most immaculate,
the raindrop,
carrier of so many purposes.
Inculpable its essence,
being not of calamitous desire,
yet often collected by forces undesired,
tropical disturbances,
typhoons, or hurricanes
So faultless its innocence.
While we admonish its presence,
water spotting our car washes,
spoiling our vacation weekends,
plummeting our gardens,
we ignore its due respect.
Perhaps...
Embracing this small creature-less life
might enable this E. T. of Nature's family,
dreaming only of making our lives bette,r
a supportive existence among
Its dedicated landscape.
Still…
We argue its overwhelming presence,
an ever-dwindling ancestral Arctic and Antarctic
pleading for genealogical respect.
How savage-like…
Those continuing to deny Nature’s complexity,
man's natural self-destructive evolution
trying to stay protected against the inept denying-rationale.
For some,
Nature is so easy to ignore.
For all,
impossible to avoid.
Love ya!
