Poem Artwork
Until…

To notice Nature
Is to know the tulip's heart asks for little,
Its petals upon sundown
Folding shield upon shield
Over innocence.

The sun,
Also of patience,
Remains willing to allow,
Understands clouds of coolant,
Nature's roiling emotion,
Occasionally needing to vent.

Humans,

Know less of endurance,
Too occupied with the now,
Ignorant of perfection's infinite cycle.

Like a child's first steps,
We wobble through life's forward movement,
Paying less and less attention to personal shields and clouds,
Becoming instead premature oldness,
Denying we're but habits of illusion,
Continuing to gravitate downward,
The waning breath gasping,
Until...

There is so much we could learn from so many sources... it's whether we ourselves allow that knowledge to sink in or not... that has to be the key.

That's the ticket! We must enjoy life while we have it. When I was 20 I was immortal....let that spirit live on!! 'Enjoyed!

Love ya!

There is much within the lines of this wonderful poem, Odin, but then, it is written by you, there would be. "habits of illusion" . . . Yes, and yes aagain . . . Sorry I haven't been around lately, trouble with logging in on AD.
