Came Man


Pathos remained in shadows,
pain barely invented,
suffering was one with nature.

Then

From somewhere came man,
deserving to be acknowledged,
but lured into contempt,
playing the superior role.

For those in contact with their inner selves,
there remains only one,
me,
you,
everyone,
and everything.

How peaceful humanity might be
if there was a collective enjoining with Nature,
not as ruler and controller,
but as altruist and liberator.
