Our solipsistic nature easily betrays us with the ignoring of “omnipresence” which asks for little, save awareness. (Image by Igor Morski)

Unique Sentience
How often we ignore…
Summer makes ready
trees grown heavy with leaves,
their servitude spreading shade,
cooling needs to rest alone,
regenerate with change,
perhaps with another…
With nature’s omnipresent embrace,
we dream in quiet commune,
never needing to see one another,
allowing connection its seductive drowsiness,
relaxed as if by ingestion of wine.
Intoxicant imploring draws us closer,
magical totality presents the fragrance of grass,
the touch of bark,
limb upon limb sanctuary,
leaf upon leaf assurance.
Blushing cheeks radiate skyward,
lifting eyelids of repose,
as we listen…
Together we hear essence
greeting awareness from afar,
like a bee hovering beneath
the sun’s warmth,
gathering generous nectar waiting,
to share with the whole of today and tomorrow,
becoming exemplar with enjoinment
as more unique sentience is shared.

You have merged together, in my opinion, the ability to feel what we see around us. This poem is true magic in that it touches how we sense even before we touch.
