Love's Fortunate

- “If there is love, there is hope that one may have real families, real brotherhood, real equanimity, real peace. If the love within your mind is lost and you see other beings as enemies, then no matter how much knowledge or education or material comfort you have, only suffering and confusion will ensue". - His Holiness the Dalai Lama from 'The little book of Buddhism' ----- Breaking down the meaning of love promotes many an exploration. This is but one.

Love's Fortunate

For some...

Love sometimes...

Might it be...

Where yesterday is at,
where the child in us asks
why is Love's sorrow felt for the past,
why not for tomorrow?

For…

Do we not often destine tomorrow
as yet another yesterday to come?
What prevents us stopping Love's sadness today,
allowing passion’s reach into tomorrow?

Is not Continuance…

To bury,
to be as innocent as a seed,
shunning neither storm,
or pastoral calm,
to welcome Love's beginning,
embracing,
protecting,
cherishing,
the unavoidable now,
the planting of Truth’s kernel?

Amidst our joyful weeping…

Should we be concerned
from where Nature's joyful tears rain down,
or to where Luminescence may travel

after its temporary sojourn?

Do not tender connections foster life,
go where gentleness is needed,
seek opportunities to be One with all,
to float upon tides of replenishment,
to drink of sustainment,
to happily feed upon Yesterday's decay,
knowing it is there solely to nourish today?

Is not…

The flower,
the tree,

the leaf,
aware Storms may come,
repairs will be necessary,
eventuating the will to sprout curiosity,
to bud anticipation,
to bloom the reward of newly born affection?

Might it be…

Love's mission is to weather tempests,
to radiate subsequent calm,
and urge unqualified release of past hurt?

If so…

For some,

Love will remain where yesterday is at.

For others,

Love will be dreamed where tomorrow might be.

For the open heart,
like a seed held gently in one's hand,

Love will blissfully declare,
"Today is another beginning."

A romantic stroll through the corridors of love heart. Love the end of the poem.
