Expression

Like fissures boiling forth
from sea floors to atmosphere,

up you rise,
invisible,
raw,
moisture of life seeking coherence,
light,
extension,
emerging like a breath of infinite echoes,
ascension in search.

With swirls and connections,
you take a modicum of each
and begin the trek.

When pausing to rest,
you place your pillow of evolving life
beneath leaves now turning,
gathering colors from black and white beginnings,
the inked-to-be,
alongside marble to form,
canvas to paint,
melodies to sing.

Discovery beckons,
your ascendance stretches,
clouds above give smile
releasing saturated creation,
rivulets to sow,
to grow,
to become.

How innocent and simple
your dreams once resting
beneath protection's shade,
pending new seasons to spring forth,
rebirthing like descendants past,
generating life and death as offspring.

Imagination floats earthward
heralding an early summer harvest,
another fruit-bearing tree of lineage,
every new leaf alive assisting breath’s security

in each new bud to flower,
to become fragrance announcing succulent reward
to senses awaiting.

Rising…

You bow to the silence
as pollen's language begins its flight,
upward wandering to propagate imaginings,
downward swirling to seed directions,
inner rooting to defend fragile conscience.

Expression…

Might such a contribution
be man's innate gift to nature's many shadows of risk,
working together to understand why only through darkness of failure
can enigmatic flames ignite creative light?
