At some point, the past has to step aside. (Image by pinterest)

Duration

Sooner or later…

Past happens fast,
kitchen tiles,
shower tiles,
missing everywhere.

Today’s crisp apples
just passing through,
will fall withered,
for they know
tomorrow’s ground
is waiting.

But we…

Time wastes little time,
as worms emerge,
birds converge,
memories submerge.

Like a tenuous teardrop,
yesterday lingers,
wants but a bit more time.

Why do we fight time, knowing full well what is ahead or us? Death. We fight it because we as do not know what lies ahead of us after death.

"Wants but a bit more time" but doesn't get it since time waits for no one. The past lingers only in memories and even then not forever.

Oh, for that "bit more time"! Life grows and goes through its circle of life and then it happens all over again, Odin. Each segment is necessary to each. It's all about everlasting life anyway. It really is!

Love ya!
