Ink's Muse

by Odin odin@aflx.com — Read all 3,869 poems by Odin odin@aflx.com

A dedication to the modern element charting our existence we sometimes take for granted. It seemed appropriate this morning as I read through some works of ancient poets and philosophers, to note their labor on papyrus, processed leather, ceramic and marble prevailed long before the convenience of modern inks in all its forms came into being.

Poem Artwork

Ink's Muse

The denseness of knowledge and imagination
is matched only by the opacity of tool
atrophied at the bottom of its glass imprisonment
this elusive weapon of the quiet
finds awakening at quill-tip's point.

Even as words serve but the surface
of her life's essence
fluid resonance of language
remains eternally ready for liberation.

Ink's Muse

Time's liquescent hourglass

Once it is written it is right out there. I love this, Odin! It does find freedom! Our souls take flight, Word Man!

Love ya!

what has been written may be set in stone, but i believe it is the emotions that breathes life to it.

that was quite a spin and very well meaning. thank you for this lovely creation of yours.

We can go all the way back to paintings on cave walls as maybe the start of using pigments for language representation.
