Once upon vaporous time
They poured his own coffee
Clung a lot to the past

He scored below average in school
But that was only grades

He couldn’t afford to fill his tank
But that was just a car

Low bank balance always cost him a fee
But that was only money

His woman left his cup half empty
But that was about growing up

His flesh ruled it all
But that was ‘cause his mind was asleep

Today…

He pours his own coffee
And discovery tends to him now

He smiles down as vaporous time reminds him
“Your cup’s only half full”

“Yeah I know”

 
“Ain’t it beautiful”
