Fervently we cling,

Holding onto what seems worth

Holding onto security

Only to discover

Nothing is forever

Everything is now

Security has become ennui for many

Why, asks the child in us all?

Perhaps it’s the stuff

We think permanent

Perhaps the relationship

We think a soul mate

Perhaps a promotion

We think economic game over

But…

To seek out the truly long-lasting rewards

One has to first go inside

Truly find that honesty principal

Stop deluding oneself

Fame

Fortune

Consider…

Aspirations long often ignore the real you

Maybe…

You merely need to find the means to calm your deluded definition of success

Breathe

Stretch

Lift

Walk

Allow

There’s so much we deny ourselves

So obsessed with achieving what others tell us is the goal

But for whom?

Yeah…

The goal of who you want me to be?

F*** it!

Happiness is just being a person of integrity

Being who you are

Not what others may want you to be.

Is dependent on you ignoring these thoughts

These options

These choices

Many need to stop being the choice made by others.

Contentedness,

Acceptance,

Caving,

Uh-uh.

Finding the way to the top of one’s own mountain

Has to be your way.

Happiness is possible.
