Given sanity possesses such complexity, one can only explore and seek some resolve. (Photo by CNN)

Sanity on Trial

And what of this consideration,

this disturbance,
a clash of confronting wills
moving with the flow,
even as options beg attention?

The setting up of sanity…

Just as clouds might burst,
so too the boiling kettle
may spew its residual,
the whistle warning,
like lightning afar,
the eruption may be near.

What of our own barometric pressure passing over,
the gravity never blowing,
while considering yes, no, maybe.

Disturbance is nature’s instinctive character
presenting unpredictable patterns of behavior
for it to present,

for us to explore.

For days…

Disorder might wait

while persuasion reinvents itself continually,
aware of the human mind’s capricious balancing act
as insanity plays upon one’s own psyche,

confounding wrong as right.

And so like Nature’s quest…

Patterns connect, dismantle,
find new tributaries,
all for the pursuit of truth
to accept,
understand,
or perhaps stumble into the abyss

of dishonesty.

Oh, to sleep,
to escape incessant profundity of reason,
while crickets voice
a lull for the void.

But…

Struggle we will
to vanquish this nightmarish noise,
allow angelic melody its rightful time,
stifle echoes unbridled,
breathe deep the purified air of repose.

Tomorrow…

Truth’s disturbance anxiously awaits
to either conquer
or surrender,
all for a contemporary time
where absent morals,
ethics,
and simple decency,
Time’s narcissist-id-smothered superegos
keep reason and conscience a struggle against the tide.

As long as people use good conscience, we have nothing to fear. The "tide" is the "absent morals," "Superegos"!!!! Super word choice!!

Love ya!

Truth and sanity go hand in hand, and they're both on trial. I sure hope both prevail in the end.
