Pneumas Hitchhike Too

by Odin odin@aflx.com — Read all 3,869 poems by Odin odin@aflx.com

With so much emphasis on the body of the living, to think on its origin and transition into a new form of existence gives rise to inner thought often dismissed as a waste of time. But, time is eternal, knowing not this invented word, waste. (Image by pinterest)

Poem Artwork

Pneumas Hitchhike Too

That whisp of dust on a country road

The damp air finding purchase on windshields of travel

Shadows in waiting for movement with sun’s help

Yet…

As cosmic essence knows

Currency is of no worth

When the enigma before

And after life

Is without object requirements for transport

And so…

The unbridled journey of one’s otherworldly specter

Remains the incongruent ego of both lifeless and living

For the body that starts out hitching a ride on life’s back

Eventually finds the paths and roads of travel

All lead to the same place…

A whisp of dust

A gust of damp air

A shadow that might be…

One of us looking for the next way station

Looks like the origins of ghosts. This morning while waking, I looked up and saw a happy older woman in rather colorful clothes and yellow straw hair smiling at me like a cartoon. She was close sitting on the bed at my hip. Behind her was also way portly old gentleman also dressed colorfully like a country hick. Although their faces were very clear and very realistic, I didn't recognize anyone I know. In a blink of my eye they were gone.

Perhaps they could be the entities in transient transit you are writing about.

"Eventually finds the paths and roads of travel all lead to the same place," indeed, back to the starting point perhaps in the act of perfect creation. Take me to the next "way station".
