Mixture of passionate-red nouns

Blend with conjunctive-gray

As adjective green and yellow accents

Fills the left corner of the lexiconic beginning

Compassionate-blue finds purchase to fulfill stanza’s mood

And the white of pause takes form

Allowing deliberation on textual purpose

Indentation introduces sudden thrust

Of forgotten pain

Bringing the red splash of passion

Closing a line

Opening the next

A scream beneath the canvas of reality

Clamors for gesso-layering of life’s relentless experience

Binding smeared years of color’s density

Thrusting stroke after stroke of purple hues

While yellow bruised melancholy

Trickles into red becoming an eruption of crimson

Rushing finality into the gray of fog

Gently urging sorrow to the rightful corner

Of completion

A living boundary that knows but further beginnings
