- Argued in many forms, but all asking the same thing: Mankind is designed to give credence to the innate dichotomy of war and peace, and realize… there is a choice. (Image by pinterest)

Aura of Quintessence
From how many treetops
have I peered
the fields
but a stage
tragedy’s minions
shadows wavering
infinite casting
minds of innate inertia
Consciousness anesthetized
Wars by default
History perpetuated
Nature’s insistence parts the branches
blood-smeared faces look up
gaze upon me
smile upon me
Their ignorance never born
of peace once promised
stands firm
opiate harvest
weapon of mass destruction
but their weapon of survival
The hidden colors of hope now
but rainbows in darkness
mixed palettes forever mud
knowing not the sun’s proper mission
Looking back
as I settle in my nest
Time’s tree is once more
grazed with aggression’s firestorm
bullets like laser beams
shooting stars upside down
lighting up
non-celestial worlds
knowing only skewed dreams
Wild pained eyes
portend continued
vacuums of hopelessness
void of wings
To take flight
To find new vistas of hope
Unlike me
such freedom seldom finds journey
Yet
Some find that place within
where nest
and moon
and sun
embrace harmony
struggling to be
If only
If only I could loan them my wings
This simple aura of Quintessence
If only
