Flowering Continuance
Winter dreams haunt one
While the nocturnal fantasies of Spring
Enlighten,
Awaken,
Blossom,
And blooming resurrects our Shangri-La,
Reviving the garden,
Bringing shy glimpses from beneath a winter hibernation,
Seizing minds,
Arresting attention,
Making one’s un-seeing them
As remote
As un-dreaming them
During the long winter.
One’s open mind
Is of nomad nature,
Always wandering over
All the attention-getting,
And subtle-tetherings of the world.
Be it person,
Floating refuse,
Nature’s bounty,
Sun-seeking daisies,
Trellis-hungry beanstalks,
Or
Delicate sprouts of herbs,
Those small appreciations
Among the mind’s rambling ideas
Continuing to flower its aura in time,
Seeking security in Nature’s protective embrace,
Like a rose attached to a trellis wall
Climbing,
Climbing.
Clouds of the unknown beckon,
Proclaiming the next interval’s commencement,
Actuality’s invite of Earth’s existence
To accept future blooming,
As skies appear like a ceiling mural,
Anticipating the next reach upward,
The next finding of purchase,
The beginning of a new arboretum,
The cosmic gestalt of flowering continuance.
How sublime.
