Good question. I just saw Bernie Sanders on TV saying that we needed to invest 6.5 trillion in rapidly changing our fossil fuel burning ways in order to save the planet and ourselves from our own ignorance. He was unhappy that the compromise of 3.5 trillion will fall short and we will have to make it up later at a higher cost if we are going to avoid serious problems.

A good example of climate change is the horde of Haitians at our southern border wanting to get in. Their country has partly been devastated by hurricanes and tropical storms, making it nearly uninhabitable. It is called climate change migration like the Syrians who had to leave their lands partly because they were becoming too arid to grow crops. And partly because of extreme regimes that feed on situations like this. It is predicted that migrations like this will get massive in the future. Already, refugees from southern Louisiana will not be rebuilding but will move further inland, probably to major cities.

Are we too ignorant not to grow up and answer the right questions? That is the question you are posing.
