I can sense the deep longing in this poem with the word, patience, foremost in my recollection of what action one should take. Time always dries tears.

If one is patient and understanding, time will bring them, either a return of what they desire or new "ecstasy," as you have described it. It will help pass the loneliness that is felt in between more easily.

Two places radiate off the page for me: “being love”, as in we ‘are love’— (okay three places) “like-minded presence” and “How dry and exhausted/Can the portals of release become”. Using the expression of ‘exhausted,’ captures that weariness well. ~~ djl
