Yet to not struggle to keep it possible
Is a betrayal to oneself
To realize another person
Is not credited with creating the joy
Is to know that happiness
May not be due to coalescing two hearts
But the actions
Discerned unknowns
New habits
And surprises
Derived from hours
Days
Weeks
Months
Even Years
Not knowing what truly creates happiness
Some believe…
Elation comes from enjoying ones
Work
Play
Challenges
Obstacles overcome
Others credit…
Yearly health remaining positive
Being void of guilt
Staying young minded
Even the lasting residual of experiencing
A sunrise
A sunset
Closing one’s eyes
After a day’s accomplishment
Resulting in peaceful dreams
Perhaps happiness
Is freedom from attachments
Deemed the roots of suffering
Or simply…
To understand
Love and happiness
Come by discovering
Happiness
Is
The path

But I don't have pleasant dreams. My dreams tend on the rather, racy, side. And almost every one of them comes out of the blue without being connected to anything that I know or have done. But a great source of short stories like the one I just finished. It makes me happy that my dreams are such a story generator.
